Answers about telehealth, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, insurance, and what it is like to get started with Honeybee.
Honeybee provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management for people dealing with concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, sleep problems, mood changes, stress, medication questions, and symptoms that may be difficult to make sense of. You do not need to know your diagnosis before requesting an appointment.
Most Honeybee appointments are provided by telehealth for patients located anywhere in Colorado. Limited in-person appointments are also available at our Denver office when scheduling allows.
Your first appointment focuses on understanding what you have been experiencing. Dr. Kayla will ask about symptoms, health and mental health history, medications, previous treatment, sleep, stress, and what you would like help with. No. A psychiatric evaluation does not automatically mean medication will be recommended. If medication may be useful, Dr. Kayla will explain the options, expected benefits, possible side effects, and other considerations so you can make an informed decision.
Honeybee focuses on psychiatric evaluation and medication management rather than ongoing psychotherapy. If therapy would be helpful, Dr. Kayla can discuss referrals or coordinate with a therapist you already see when appropriate.
Honeybee works with several major insurance plans, but your cost depends on your specific coverage. You can review accepted plans and typical patient costs on our insurance and pricing page .
That is completely reasonable. Many people reach out because they know something has changed or does not feel right, but they are not sure whether it is anxiety, depression, sleep, stress, attention, medication, or something else. A psychiatric evaluation is designed to help sort through those questions and identify a useful next step.
